How to Design Like Apple

In this video they give some very precise explanations on how to design like apple. Jonathan Ive being influenced by dieter Rams has helped Apple to design some beautiful products. Whenever I somehow find myself using non apple product I tend to get upset by how everything is works from the design to the software. The Steve Jobs biography taught me how serious Steve Jobs took design, even when he was in the hospital he was thinking about design. He also complained about how certain things were designed poorly I forgot what to be exact.

Creating a Corporate Identity: Virgin`s Branding Strategy

 

The branding for the Virgin group is one that I always enjoy seeing. I feel that since Richard Branson is the brand of Virgin and in that way he symbolizes fun and down to earth and a cool person to sit and have chat with.  Perfect symbol of how to create a great brand just as how Apple has Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak as the people who symbolize what apple represents.

Microsoft Surface Commercial

This Commercial to me just sucks overall. I do not understand what is the point of having people dancing around with a thin tablet that you can connect and disconnect a thin keyboard to? To me this clearly redefines the quote that Steve Jobs had said about microsoft  “I don’t think anything will change at Microsoft as long as Ballmer is running it.” 

This  Clearly explains a lot about Ballmer to me at least.

TBWA Chiat day did a remarkable job working with Steve Jobs and apple. The commercial think different still inspires me every time I watch it.

How to make a presentation Like Steve Jobs

This video is unbelievably helpful after watching it I really learned how to make a great presentation. Also if you’ve ever watched a Steve Jobs presentation you know how amazing they can be.
Heres the tips on how to make a presentation like Steve Jobs

1.  Set the theme : Make it clear and consistent.

2.  Provide an outline : Open and close each section with a clear transition

3.  Make it easy for your listeners to follower your story

4.  Demonstrate enthusiasm

5.  Wow your audience

6.  Sell an experience

7.  analogies help connect the dots for your audience

8.  Make it visual : little amounts of text and one image

9.  Treat your presentation like a show

10. Give them a show: Identify a memorable moment and build up to it

Apple Product Design

If you have no clue who Jonathan Ive is or Jony Ive as some people call him he is responsible for how the apple products are designed and how they look. When I listened to the Steve Jobs Biography audiobook I learned that Jony Ive is just as much of a design nut as Steve Jobs was. If you have or if you’ve ever held an iPhone 4 you’d notice the little gaps on the side of the phone. The reason for that is because of the antenna and if its covered you can expect to have dropped calls and etc. The iPhone 3 would drop calls constantly because it did not have the gaps the 4 does.
