Well You all may have or may not seen American Airlines New Identity. If you have not give the video a watch above before continuing on reading. When I first came across the article on creativereview.co.uk I had no idea what of what to say. One thing I said was why did they ruin such a great identity.
More so why would they not have massimo involved with the rebranding. I’m pretty sure this would be his reaction or would it be?
What are your thoughts about the new american airlines rebranding?
Do you think it went in the right direction or the wrong one?
Massimo’s work will always be an inspiration to me. But the interview ill say more then I ever could about Massimo.
“The American interpretation of marketing is harmful. It is about giving people what they want. That’s wrong you have to give them what they need”
I couldn’t agree more with that.
I love this interview Debbie Millman did with Massimo. If you didn’t know Debbie does a podcast called Design matters on Design Observer She does interviews interviews with many well known designers and all kinds of creatives. She even interviewed the guy who’s agency or he who designed the 2012 Olympic logo.
Having Watched this conversation with Massimo and George together I really enjoyed both. It was kind of funny they both are wearing all black. Both George and Massimo have produced excellent work and continue to do so.
