I had no idea that had done so much lettering. To me lettering has helped me pay more attention to detail and has helped me think my work out more. While refining my approach to designing and etc.

What to do when nobody gives you a chance
When applying for Jobs you can feel as if nobody is giving you a chance. You are a fresh graduate working to improve your skills and portfolio. Then you’ve been applying for Jobs and following up with no luck. What you should do can seem like its going to be impossible to ever find a job in your field.
I for one as you all may or may not know I graduated with an associates degree in graphic design. I will admit I have gotten frustrated when I have not secured a Job. But you know what I did I did not feel sorry for myself and go cry in a corner. I kept going and going and going. I know you are capable of doing the same thing.
Because if you are going through a hard time its not going to last. You will get out of it what you believe you will. If you look up anyone who is famous beyond measure they have went through some very hard times. Here’s some tips to keep you motivated and to keep going.
- Read a book related to the field you are pursuing or something related to it (motivational and basically whatever you would enjoy and help enrich yourself and life)
- Believe you will get through it
- Hustle (learn knew skills and realize what you learned in school only matters a little its what you do with it that does) plus learning is a lifelong task
- If you really have love for what you want to do you will do it as often as possible. Do not end up like some people who say they don’t have enough time.

This is amazing seeing the effect a green screen can have to make a move better. Seeing the parts were it was used made me wonder how hard it would be to act in the situation. Also the CGI is well done and I would not expect anything less coming from Hollywood.

I recently began to pay more attention to hand painted signs. When you see a hand painted sign its as if you can imagine the time it took to create sign and many other things. Knowing there’s a store that stilll uses hand painted signs I’m pretty sure the vibe and feel of the place is very different compared to other stores.

My review of owning a blackberry curve and its failed innovation
When I first seen everyone with a blackberry I instantly wanted one. Then when I got one I got addicted to using it. The simplification of going from the P.O.S phone that I had before made the blackberry great. Then they continued to do the same thing over and over.
They had released the Blackberry storm as a competing phone against the iPhone which was great at the time. But they continued to fail I believe with the problems of the phone. More so releasing Junk and not worrying about releasing quality products.
On the blackberry curve the button placement was a little odd to have the numbers on the left. Which I’ll admit at the time was great. Just that it got a little annoying to deal with. The chunky plastic buttons did not make me feel comfortable owning this phone.
Eventually blackberry started to fall behind. You can only be paid attention to for so long eventually people are going to get bored with you. I for one feel the reason why a company like Apple and Google continue to grow is because they are always innovating. What did blackberry do to improve peoples lives ? When they tried to innovate it was too late and people no longer cared about them.
Whether you are a designer, speaker, business owner yeah you may be making money now but it will only last for so long. You have to provide value with what you are offering. While doing so make sure you are always looking at ways to improve quickly and not sluggishly.
Why wishful thinking is not working for you
Being a graphic design graduate can be frustrating especially when you do not get any responses from the jobs you’ve applied to. While you are applying to those Jobs what are you doing to set yourself apart from the rest of the other designers. Many people who claim to be a designer next year they will probably not be one or trying to be one.
I have learned recently that while whatever you are pursuing make sure you are busy working. Meaning “Do not sit and watch TV or do anything that will not help move you forward”. If you are for example a fashion designer and you want to become a better fashion designer then learning a new skill will help. One of the most important things I learned from a 50 cent words of wisdom video is when he said ” When I started making music it was full time everyday”.
Just think about how much your life would improve if you took action instead of just thinking about it. You may be a person who says they are waiting for the right time. I’ll admit I used to think there was a time for certain things. But in actuality whenever your time comes are you going to be prepared? Learning new skills will help you in the long haul. Just think of people who found a job thought they would not need to learn other skills, then got laid off and struggled to find work.
There really is not any reason why everyone nowadays does not have more then one skill. You have access to millions probably billions of free articles, videos, tutorials on whatever you want to learn. Remember whatever you are going through someone else has to learn from them. Stop just thinking about something you want to do and go do it.
Make it a priority to take action and if you fail at least you tried and then keep trying until you succeed. The only thing that comes to someone who wishes is a dream without any results.
How it feels to be a Graphic Designer living near Miami
Living near Miami is very interesting for me. The designs that I have seen have been ok and nothing spectacular. It’s almost like you see a website and know the company did not put much time or effort into it. I’m still you can say learning the way of life here. I have met some designers from here thankfully.
Then another thing is I was getting a bit frustrated with applying to Jobs and not getting any responses. Also following up with a phone call and not getting a callback. So I said to myself keep applying and Never give up. Because I am following the Job search marathon guide.
Because its so easy to just give up and quit when things are not working out. I have also been keeping busy with learning how to draw better. Keeping with designing everyday even though I do not have a client or junior design position will prepare me for when the time comes. There’s other designers possibly going through the same thing as me currently. If you are reading this keep designing even though you do not see any rewards yet and continue applying and networking.
