This is pretty interesting I must say because taking a font from a homeless persons sign and making it into a typeface has endless possibilities. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this project to see what it becomes.

This site is very interesting. The reason being is because it showcases the logos that have been rejected by clients. If you take time to scroll through this site you can see that not every client loves beautiful work. Also that not every design will solve a clients problem. But really all we can do is speculate at the reason why some of these logos were rejected.

Pretty sad that it has come to this with major social media networks. I just wonder if anyone else has noticed this. Also Facebook is notorious for copying other sites.
I am kind of surprised to have not noticed such a thing about the typography on this. Because Sunkist is a very well known beverage. Even though I have not drank soda in forever. But let me stay on topic.
Ever since I came across this from browsing the crappy design section on reddit all I see is the word sinkist. The reason why they probably have not changed it is because of recognition. The effect that changing such a thing would have could upset people to a whole different level. A good example is look at what happened when they tried to change the Tropicana package design.
Do you see anything wrong with this menu? Don’t worry I’ll wait. This clearly was made by someone who decided to cut corners and not hire a designer. Because there are certain things that should not show up. With a name like the The Manhattan inn you would expect them to not have such things.
But I know that they are not the only one. Just remember if you are a designer or you are going to hire a designer they should not be designing anything in microsoft word, powerpoint and etc. Word is a program for writing papers and etc. Adobe creative suite is for designing.

I really was pretty blown away to see a such thing. Just think of doing a pantone book by hand. Because getting the shades of colors right and also making sure you have the correct lighting.

Whether you believe it or not you do have the skills to pay the bills. Because overtime our belief can be tested and diminished from various sources. The sources can be family members, friends, and society in general. But with them doubting your and trying to tell you what you should do; follow your own path.
The skills that you have are valuable. Because you can learn how to improve them and learn new ones. Then finding an opportunity for yourself to use your skills are easy. Just think of the things that you complain about. Using your skills to find an opportunity in complaining is possible.
A majority of believing in your skills depends on if you believe and have the faith. Having belief in your skills makes the difference. Also having faith in them as well. Because you can continue improving them but if you don’t believe then you won’t have faith in them.
For example just think of an athlete who trains everyday. Over time the athlete starts to believe he is making progress. But when it comes to the day for competing he does not have the faith that his training will help him win. The same example can be used for many other examples.
If you currently do not have any skills it is not to late to start learning.
Recently after listening to seanwes podcast I learned the value of building your own platform. By building your own platform you have more control. Because all across the internet you see examples of those who have.
When I say building your own platform I mean you own what you build. For example how at first had started an etsy store. Then after the podcast I learned quickly how little control I had. By control is how they could shut down my store at any moment and whatever could happen. Another thing is the fee’s they charge. Yea they may be miniscule in a sense. But why pay for something when I can do it myself.
While doing it myself I can set my own price, have more control, free to do as I please. Sean had mentioned that those platforms are for people whom do not want to spend the time building something from scratch and what not. You have to take into account that you do not own it.
With as many articles and different mediums to start selling whatever why would you depend on someone else other than yourself to do it the correct way. You may be afraid of doing such a thing. Think of it this way if it fails whom would I have to blame other than myself. But if you do fail you will learn from it, better then someone who had their hand held through the whole process.
