Logo design a day for 30 days

So recently I took it upon myself to design a logo a day for 30 days. The reason is because I felt that I for needed to improve. Also I wanted to hold myself accountable by posting it on my instagram and making it public. Which would motivate me even more.

Here’s some of the work I’ve done so far.

HOMELESSFONTS

 

This is pretty interesting I must say because taking a font from a homeless persons sign and making it into a typeface has endless possibilities. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this project to see what it becomes.

 

Driven by the fear of humiliation

Not being afraid to fail completely out of the fear of humiliation is very valuable. Because lets take a second to think about, how afraid many of us are of looking bad. The same thing can be said for those who are afraid of raising their hand to answer a question they know the answer to.

So what I decided to do a long time ago is to let go of the fear of being afraid. This is as bit of confidence you have to start nourishing. Then you do little by little each day. For example if your in college sit at the front of the class or if you take public transportation sit at the front of the bus instead of the back. Basically do something differently to get rid of your fear.

Another thing is admitting when your wrong. Admitting your wrong in-front of people can be utterly self depreciating. Honestly you show yourself that your confident in your beliefs and that your not scared to admit that you do not know everything. This can also be called being transparent.

P.S I’ve got some great things coming for the site. and one more thing if you have not already downloaded a free wallpaper go do so before they are all gone.

RejectedLogocompetition

This site is very interesting. The reason being is because it showcases the logos that have been rejected by clients. If you take time to scroll through this site you can see that not every client loves beautiful work. Also that not every design will solve a clients problem. But really all we can do is speculate at the reason why some of these logos were rejected.

First Follower: Leadership Lessons from Dancing Guy

 

I came across the original video of the dancing guy a while ago. But anyhow I did not think about it on the same terms as is described in this video. Because being a leader is clearly shown by the dancing guy here. Then you have someone else who joins in and then more and then even more.

To keep it short do not be afraid to stand alone while others are sitting down wondering what you are doing. Because you’ll eventually create a similar thing from the dancing guy here.

University of Texas at Austin 2014 Commencement Address

 

One of the most honest, motivating commencement speeches I have ever heard. The reason is because he knows what he is talking. Also another thing is the amount of discipline that he has undergone in his career.

So the initial reaction behind this commercial made me say what the fuck literally. Because if you are one of the most hated companies in America why would you make something like this? If you have ever played video games on Xbox, Playstation or whatever console you know it does not buffer. Buffering is what Youtube videos do.

The other thing that upsets me about this is clearly the research was not done. Or maybe it was done and they just thought oh they won’t know the difference or what were talking about. Every time I see commercials done so poorly it just makes me wonder about who’s making the decisions and etc.
