Why America is Fucked.

Aaron Draplin seems like he’d be a really cool guy to meet. But anyhow after I watched this video it made perfect sense to me how sign companies tend to be. There’s plenty of visual pollution around everywhere. If you take just a moment and looked at signage you can tell if the person took the time to really think the whole design through or not.

Erik Spiekermann – Extra Interview

When I first seen this video I was blown away when he said that he will not read anything unless he’s identified the typeface. It really opened my eyes up to how serious people take design. When he talked about how people are not supposed to know something has changed its just gotten better. Then when he talked about arial was great and it was a little history lesson as well.
