Elle Luna on Finding Your Must

Last night to be exact I watched this while having fun using my dip pen. Elle she touches on something that I feel we all should be doing and that is going on an artist date. Which she described as doing whatever you feel like doing artistically. For example whenever I am lettering I feel like using a dip pen instead of a cartridge pen while doing calligraphy.

The continued amount of play with work will allow you to enjoy the process even more.  Whenever you are working on a project and you get the urge to draw or maybe not even draw you get the urge to drink lemonade while designing do it. Learn to listen to your inner self and to not kill it by ignoring what it says to you.

Forget What they Teach you

This may be an odd thing for some to grasp. When I say forget what they teach you I mean use what they have taught you and develop your own way of working. Because you have to realize that what you learn while in school may or may not work in the real world. Within a classroom we are sheltered and somewhat protected. Then when we enter the real world we get hurt when we get clobbered by those more experienced then us.

Whenever you are designing, illustrating or whatever do not use the internet for inspiration and see what you come up with. For example instead of searching behance or pinterest take a walk through your house or even your backyard. Because
